Mushball
Mushball is a volleyball game
played in the mud by opposing teams. The first Saturday in August each year
the LFFA sponsors a Mushball tournament to raise funds for projects our
organization supports.
We have about 40
teams enter each year and some come from up north in British Columbia,
Canada and as far south as Monroe. Competition is serious but a lot of fun.
General volleyball
rules apply but there are a few special considerations.
MUSHBALL RULES |
-
A team must
consist of six people and up to two alternatives. Teams can be all female,
but male teams must have at least one female on the court at all times.
-

within a 30" by 60" pit and is 14" deep. The pit (court) is filled with
quarry pit mud which is the consistency of pancake batter.

-
Games are played
to eleven (11) points, best out of three. Teams must win by two (2)
points.

the first, second, and third place team through overall elimination.
